Information Collected About You

In general, you can access our Services without disclosing any personal information. We may collect certain information from Web Site visitors. This may include, but is not limited to, the server domain name, e-mail address, type of computer and web browser, what pages visitor accessed, and limited information about search requests. This information is used to solve technical problems and to calculate overall usage statistics.

When you use the Services, we collect information as follows:

Registration. While you may use most of the Services without registering, certain Services do require that you register with CompendiRx for them to function properly. If you choose to register or update an existing account with CompendiRx or access certain Services, you may be required to provide certain personal information, such as your name, address, telephone number, gender, email address and date of birth, and a username and password to access your CompendiRx account. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal information that you submit to CompendiRx.

Promotional and Email Newsletters. At registration and at various times as you use the Site, you will be given the option of providing Us with personal information in order to receive informational/promotional newsletters – such as a newsletter relating to specific health conditions – via email from CompendiRx and/or directly from third parties. From time to time, We may offer users of third party websites the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletters through those websites. If you elect to subscribe to one of our newsletters on a third party website, the operator of that website will provide us with the personal information you have provided in connection with the subscription request, which we may use in accordance with this Privacy Policy as though you had provided it directly to CompendiRx. 

Email a Friend. If you use our Email a Friend service to tell a friend about a feature on Our Site or a newsletter, we will ask you for your name, your email address and your friend’s email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site using your name and email address as the “from” email address. CompendiRx does not use your friend’s email information for any other purpose. We will only use the information you provide to send the requested email to your friend.

Marketing Uses. The information you provide to Us may also be collected, used, analyzed and/or processed by Us, or selected third parties on Our behalf, for marketing and other business purposes. If you do not want your personal identifying information used in this way, you may opt out of receiving such marketing material by following the instructions provided in the marketing materials.

Emails You Send to CompendiRx. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information, content, business information, ideas, concepts or inventions that you send to CompendiRx by email. If you want to keep content or business information, ideas, concepts or inventions private or proprietary, do not send them in an email to CompendiRx.

Services and Device Information. When you access and use the Services, We may automatically collect and store in its server logs information from your browser or mobile device such as your IP address or unique device identifier, browser information (including referring URL), your preferences and settings, cookies and information about the content you have viewed and actions taken (e.g., search queries, ad engagement, clicks and the associated dates and times). We may also collect device-specific information when you install and use an App including your device model, operating system information, advertising ID (which is a unique, user-resettable identification number for advertising associated with a mobile device) and App version and usage information.

Precise Geolocation Data. When enabled by you, We may collect precise location information provided by your mobile device, such as latitude and longitude. You may disable the collection and use of your location data through your device settings. To change location settings on your device, please refer to your device’s official knowledge base.

Information from Children. We do not collect or maintain information from users actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of Our Site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.We will not collect or post information from a child known to be under the age of eighteen (18) without the written consent of a parent or guardian. Your California Privacy Rights. California’s privacy laws require a company to provide notice to California users of their rights to receive information on to which entities their information was shared for marketing purposes.

Beginning on January 1, 2005, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits Company’s customers or clients who are California residents to request certain information regarding Company’s disclosure of personal information for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please write to: hello@compendirx.com. Within thirty (30) days of receiving such a request, Company will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for third-party direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. Company reserves its right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the address specified in this paragraph.

Privacy Release Clause CompendiRx expressly acknowledges that it is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) or similar state laws governing the privacy and security of health information. While CompendiRx takes reasonable measures to protect user privacy, users are solely responsible for the security and confidentiality of any personal health information they choose to disclose through the Website or services, and such personal health information is not protected by HIPAA laws. By using our Website or services, you agree that CompendiRx is not responsible for protecting such information under HIPAA or any other applicable laws.
