How it works:
Irreversibly inhibits COX-1 and 2 enzymes
Dosage Form: Tablet Tablet - 325mg, 500mg; Chewable tablet - 81mg; Delayed release tablet - 81mg, 325mg; Enteric-coated tablet - 81mg, 325mg, 650mg; Capsule - 81mg, 325mg, 500mg; Enteric-coated capsule - 325mg; Extended release capsule - 162.5mg
Common Usage: pain, fever, migraine, to lower the risk of stroke/heart attack/clot
Precautions:
Pregnancy
Except when used in lower doses for pregnancy-related conditions, maternal use of aspirin should be avoided beginning 20 weeks gestation.
Lactation
Low doses may be acceptable, but high doses are not advised
Warnings
contraindications include hypersensitivity to drug or ingredients, NSAID induced Asthma, NSAID induced urticaria, renal disease, Gastointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, G6PD deficiency
