IBUPROFEN What is ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication commonly used to relieve pain and reduce fevers. Unlike acetaminophen, it also has some anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for inflammatory diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid disorders. How can ibuprofen help alleviate certain long COVID symptoms. Ibuprofen works by reversibly inhibiting enzymes in our body called COX-1 and COX-2 that help reduce fever, pain, and inflammation. It is also believed to reduce pro-inflammatory substances called cytokines and inhibit the activation of other immune cells that can cause inflammation.

How it works:

Reversibly inhibits COX-1 and 2 enzymes

Dosage Form: Tablet Capsule - 200mg; Tablet - 200mg, 400mg, 600mg, 800mg; Chewable tablet (for children) - 100mg; Suspension - 100mg/5mL, 50mg/1.25mL (for infants)
