How it works
Mexidol’s effects are diverse because its mechanism of action involves both antioxidant effects, as well as actions at cell membranes. Some actions of Mexidol include that it protects against hypoxia (oxygen deficiency) and ischemia (inadequate blood supply to organs and other body parts, especially heart muscles). Mexidol is also anti-stress, anti-anxiety, anti-convulsant, anti-aging, neuroprotective, cardioprotective, and protective against formation of fatty plaques in the arteries. Lastly, Mexidol has been met with some success in treating mental disorders, without any major side effects.
