Lactation
The developmental and health benefits of breastfeeding should be considered along with the mother’s clinical need for mirtazapine and any potential adverse effects on the breastfed infant from mirtazapine or from the underlying maternal condition
Warnings
Black Box Warnings: Suicidal thoughts in children and adolescents taking antidepressants ; Contraindicated: MAOIs, hypersensitivity ; Warnings: Agranulocytosis, serotonin syndrome, angle-closure glaucoma, QT prolongation, increased appetite, somnolence, hyponatremia, activated mania/hypomania, seizures, elevated triglycerides/cholesterol, transaminase elevations
